200 Hour - RYT
Maggie has always had a passion for movement, participating in swimming, figure skating, and various disciplines of dance. Her first introduction to yoga was in a college dance class. Years later after leaving dance, she was in search of something that was creative, challenging, and focused on a mind-body connection. In 2013 Maggie was invited to a yoga class and she found all of that and more! She found connection to herself and a community, an emotional outlet, and peace on her mat and in her life. She began practicing vinyasa and Bikram yoga before experiencing a Baptiste style class. She had an awakening in that class and thought, this is it, this is what she wanted to practice and share with others. She signed up for teaching training in the fall of 2015 and acquired her 200hr teaching certificate. Maggie has a passion for teaching students of all levels but in particular loves to introduce new students to yoga. She has specialized in beginner programs and workshops over the years to help make yoga accessible to everyone and introduce new students to the practice. She truly enjoys leading students through their practice and helping them to discover possibilities of what can be, on their mats and in their lives. Outside of yoga, Maggie enjoys traveling, hiking, being a dog mom to the fluffiest dog ever, and spending time with friends and family. She is very excited to be a part of the Good Karma community!
